Dr. Aytun Onay

Turkish Aeronautical Association University, Ankara, Turkey

She completed her the BS degree in Astronomy and Space Sciences at Ege University and made a double major about Mathematics in 2003. She started to work as a research assistant in Physics Department at Middle East Technical University (METU) for a master degree in 2005. Then, She began her PhD education in department of Computer Engineering at TOBB-ETU University as a research and teaching assistant in 2010. She worked as Asst. Prof. at Kafkas University for two years. Then, she worked for two years as a Project Manager and Turkey Consortium Leader in a Technology Company in European Union Projects (ECS (Electronic Components Systems), ITEA, AI4EU (Europe's Al-on-Demand Platform), BBI JU (Circular Bio-based Europe), Eureka Clusters). She has been continuing his academic life at the Turkish Aeronautical Association University since February (2023). Her previous experiences in AI projects: Optimization studies on lipid content for microalgae via quadratic models, investigation of biomass productivity from microalgae via machine learning algorithms, classification of drugs, drug decision support systems for developing a successful drug candidate, air and water quality monitoring system for Smart Cities, energy monitoring system based on IoT for Smart Buildings and Homes.
